Artiste visuel d’origine franco-canadienne et italienne, Jason Cantoro explore depuis plus de vingt ans la frontière entre le calcul et le hasard, entre la répétition maîtrisée et l’accident poétique. Son œuvre, profondément ancrée dans un esprit collectif, revendique une approche accessible et participative de la création. Pour lui, l’art prend pleinement sens dans le partage et la discussion.
Co-fondateur de l’atelier Cinqunquatre (2004–2016) aux côtés d’Alice Jarry, puis de l’atelier Le Club (2016–2019) au légendaire building Shiff du 305 Bellechasse, Jason poursuit aujourd’hui sa pratique dans son atelier du quartier Rosemont, à Montréal.
Son travail, reconnu à l’international, a été présenté en solo à Montréal, New York et Belgrade, où il a élaboré le concept de sa série emblématique The Paper Trail. Il est également l’auteur d’un projet d’art public pour le Bureau d’art public de Montréal, une murale monumentale sur le building Strathearn dans l’arrondissement Milton-Park.
Jason Cantoro a participé à de nombreuses foires internationales parmi lesquelles Scope Miami, Art New York, Affordable Art Fair, Fountain, ainsi qu’à de multiples expositions collectives au Canada, aux États-Unis, à Paris, Hong Kong et Londres.
Ses œuvres figurent dans d’importantes collections privées et corporatives telles que Colart Collection, Ubisoft, Ivanhoé Cambridge, Le Cirque du Soleil ou encore le groupe Aldo.
En octobre 2025, Jason Cantoro rejoint la Galerie Outsiders, marquant le début d’une collaboration transatlantique entre Montréal et Rouen — un dialogue autour d’une même vision : celle d’un art libre, humaniste et ouvert à tous.

A visual artist of Franco-Canadian and Italian descent, Jason Cantoro has spent over two decades exploring the balance between order and chance, between calculated repetition and poetic accident. Deeply rooted in a collective spirit, his practice seeks to make art accessible and participatory. For him, creation becomes meaningful through dialogue and exchange.
Co-founder of Atelier Cinqunquatre (2004–2016) with Alice Jarry, then of Atelier Le Club (2016–2019) in Montreal’s legendary Shiff building at 305 Bellechasse, Jason now works from his studio in the Rosemont district.
His work has gained international recognition, with solo exhibitions in Montreal, New York, and Belgrade, where he developed the concept behind his landmark series The Paper Trail. He also completed a public art commission for the Bureau d’art public de Montréal, creating a large-scale mural on the Strathearn building in the Milton-Park neighborhood.
Jason Cantoro has exhibited widely at major art fairs such as Scope Miami, Art New York, Affordable Art Fair, and Fountain, and has taken part in numerous group shows across Canada, the United States, Paris, Hong Kong, and London.
His works are part of several prestigious private and corporate collections, including Colart Collection, Ubisoft, Ivanhoé Cambridge, Cirque du Soleil, and Aldo Group.
In October 2025, Jason Cantoro joined Galerie Outsiders, marking the beginning of a new transatlantic collaboration between Montreal and Rouen — a shared vision of art as free, humanist, and open to all.
